We had our computer school graduation on July 5th, and we had a full house! 14 young ladies graduated, and it was a really special ceremony because many of their family members attended as well. Two of the students could not attend the graduation because of their internships; however, both of their fathers came on their behalf, which was a Mi Esperanza first! This class also graduated its first group of girls from Casa de Ester, a teenage girls refuge, and Mi Esperanza is proud to be a part of their education program. Each and every graduation ceremony is special because it is tangible proof of the success of Mi Esperanza. It’s amazing to see the excitement on each graduates face as they receive their diploma, and to know that they are on track to creating a better life for themselves. Be sure to check out the graduation pictures!

Because of the generous donations we’ve received this summer, especially from the Sawyer family (Larry, Jennifer, and Kathy), we were able to purchase three new computers and were able to give all of the computers access to the Internet! We will also be purchasing new desks for the computers, a new white board, and a few other necessities in the near future. The next computer class will start on July 31st, and we already have 12 students signed up!
