Students find JOY in giving back

For a house of 30 teenage girls who spend their days in lock down, with little communication with the world outside the walls that surround them, a day of interaction and beauty is a perfect way to share Hope. Twice during the duration of a beauty class our students and staff travel across town to offer services, love and encouragement to girls who desperately need it. One of the biggest joys for the staff is to watch the ME students invest in the girls and offer encouragement and love, making their inside feel as good as their outside. The girls are often shy in the beginning but always seem to warm up to us quickly and are waiting for our return. Service days often turn out to be the highlight for the beauty students and their Mi Esperanza experience. If our students leave not only having bettered themselves, but also looking to better the life of someone else then we have succeeded in many way!
