Christa’s first trip to Honduras was in the summer of 2009. She had no idea the immediate connection she would make with the people of Honduras and the impact it would have on her life. As she served the people of Honduras, Christa found herself astonished at the harsh conditions in which they lived; yet God’s love was evident in the way they expressed their gratitude to her, as well as each other. As Christa continued to visit Honduras, she was introduced to the work of Mi Esperanza, and being an educator, she found this mission of educating women to better themselves and their families exciting and empowering. Christa considers it an honor to be a part of Mi Esperanza and looks forward to serving the women of Honduras.
Christa currently lives in Georgia with her husband, Marty and their two daughters, Hannah and Sarah.
