When I sit back and reflect on all of the blessings in my life, one of the biggest ones that come to mind is being giving the opportunity to serve God in Honduras. For over 10 years I have had the opportunity to work with the people of Honduras which has held a special place in my heart, but as God would have it, he had a bigger plan. A few years ago, I was reflecting on everything I had been doing in Honduras and was thinking, there has be a bigger purpose for me, I just didn’t know what that was but I knew there was more so I left my heart and mind open for any opportunity that may arise and be the ‘bigger purpose’, low and behold a few short months later I was asked by the Mi Esperanza board to join them. Was this my ‘bigger purpose’ I thought??? After some reflection and prayer, I accepted the opportunity to continue to serve God and the people of Honduras through the Mi Esperanza program. It makes my heart warm when I meet the women of the program and hear their stories about how the program has helped them provide better lives for themselves and their families. I am thankful every day that I have the opportunity to walk along side of the wonderful board of Mi Esperanza in support of God and the women of Honduras.
