“I´m very grateful for my job; I´ve been able to be a blessing to other women, and I have been blessed as well.”

I want to thank God for giving me the chance to know Mi Esperanza. I'm very grateful to have been trusted to teach the computer course. Mi Esperanza has allowed me to grow professionally, giving me the place to practice everything I learned in school. I graduated as a computer technician. I was always very happy and motivated to teach women everything they needed, women who could not afford to pay for a course somewhere else. Women who, otherwise, would not have had the means to attend another computer school.
The blessings from Mi Esperanza did not stop there. While working as the computer instructor, I continued my education and got a Psychology degree. In 2023, Mi Esperanza opened the Rilyn Harper Learning Center, and a second blessing was given to me. Again, I have received the opportunity to practice what I learned in college. Being part of the Learning Center has given me the chance to use all the knowledge I got from my psychology degree. I've implemented different strategies to identify each child's needs so I can teach them in the best way, with love, dedication, and patience. My efforts are focused on either stimulating them before kindergarten or motivating them to learn better what they're taught in school every day.
Personally, this job has been a blessing, too. I'm able to help my parents. It fills me with joy and pride to be able to provide for them. They have always been there for me, and now it is my turn to help. I'm also able to contribute to my daughter's bilingual school. My husband and I dream that she may be able to receive the best education we can provide.
